Let’s talk about looking at things long term.
Osteoarthritis is a long term condition.
Once your protective cushions have worn down, they can’t be restored.
This means we need to look at treatment as a life-long process
While there are some osteoarthritis treatments such as knee replacements that aim to help with osteoarthritis, these are not permanent fixes.
Although it may seem like a permanent fix, knee replacements also wear down and can require multiple surgeries over the course of your life.
Knee replacements also have low patient satisfaction levels and still require you to engage in regular exercise and physical activity to maintain any positive effects.
There are no quick fixes.
It is important that any osteoarthritis treatment is looked at as a long-term solution, not a short term one.
Unfortunately, arthritis has no quick fixes.
By becoming more active, strengthening your muscles, and sticking to the habit, you’ll be able to keep your arthritis under control in the long term and live a more enjoyable and fulfilling life while reducing further arthritis progression.
Over the course of your program you will gain the confidence and skills required to continue on with healthy habits to improve your arthritis and live a quality life.
You might find that the exercises get easier the more you practice them.
